This pair of vintage Luminarc Diamant wine glasses was made in France by Verrerie D'Arques. Each glass stands approximately 6 3/4 inches tall with a 3 1/4 inch mouth. The Diamant pattern features a striking combination of vertical cuts on the upper bowl and diamond starburst cuts on the lower portion, all set on a hexagonal faceted stem with a smooth round base. One glass retains its original gold Luminarc Verrerie D'Arques France sticker. Both glasses are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or cloudiness. The cuts are crisp and well defined, and the glass is sparkling clean. There is a minor height difference of about 1/8 inch between the two glasses, which is a normal production variation in French glassware from this era. Luminarc has been producing quality glassware in Arques, France since 1948 as part of Arc International. The Diamant pattern remains one of their most popular and collectible cut glass designs, blending the look of fine crystal with the durability of everyday French glassware.
